the moving baseline
humans exist on a continuum of capability, where what counts as "basic" constantly evolves. the baseline moves upward. what was once advanced becomes foundational. what was once valuable becomes assumed. this has happened repeatedly throughout history, but always with time to adjust. now the baseline is moving faster than we can stabilize around it. the pattern remains the same, but the pace has fundamentally changed. perhaps the only sustainable skill is the capacity to continuously redefine your own baseline.

hiring gets interesting in the ai age
we've moved from faking keywords to using AI through the entire hiring process and job itself, signaling the game has changed. the new moat is subject matter expertise plus meta skills you can't fake long term.
the ai saturation
we've reached saturation by solving for speed when the real problem is space to think. we're supercharging the fast system while starving the slow one, optimizing ourselves out of the friction that makes thinking possible.

short form content (lil thought on it)
short form content is rotting our brains but it's also how people get information now. we're degrading human and artificial intelligence at the same time and calling it content.
